REHAB AND HEART STATION SERVICES
ELECTROCARDIOGRAM (ECG)- a simple test that checks the heart’s electrical activity. It helps doctors see if your heart is beating normally, find heart rhythm problems, detect signs of a heart attack, and check how well your heart is working. The test is quick, painless, and shows important information about your heart.
2D ECHOCARDIOGRAM– An ultrasound scan of your heart. It is a painless test that uses sound waves to create pictures of your heart. It lets doctors see the size and shape of your heart, check how well it is pumping, and look at the heart valves to make sure they are working properly. This helps find heart problems early and guide treatment to keep your heart healthy.
FETAL ECHOCARDIOGRAM– a special ultrasound that looks at your baby’s heart before birth. It helps doctors see how the heart is forming, check that the chambers and valves are working properly, and make sure blood is flowing normally. This test can detect heart problems early so doctors can plan the right care for your baby during pregnancy and after birth.
TREADMILL STRESS TEST– a simple test that shows how your heart works when you exercise. During the test, you walk on a treadmill while your heart rate, blood pressure, and rhythm are monitored. It helps doctors find problems like reduced blood flow to the heart, check for chest pain or irregular heartbeats, and see how well your heart responds to activity. This information helps guide treatment and keep your heart healthy.
24 HOUR AMBULATORY BLOOD PRESSURE MONITORING– a small device you wear that checks your blood pressure throughout the day and night. It helps doctors see your blood pressure during normal activities and sleep, not just in the clinic. This gives a more accurate picture, helps diagnose high blood pressure, shows how well your treatment is working, and can detect problems that a single reading in the clinic might miss.
24 HOUR HOLTER MONITORING– a small device you wear that continuously records your heart’s activity for a full day. It helps doctors find irregular heartbeats that might not show up during a short ECG. It is useful if you have symptoms like palpitations, dizziness, or fainting, and it helps doctors see how your heart responds to daily activities and whether your medicines or treatments are working.
